Fourteen and a half acres with one frontage, on the existing BT road to the east. Storage and industrial yards lie across the road; farmland and a tree belt lie to the west. A small walled compound on the west edge stays outside the site.

The villa

Three floors on a 45 ft deep plot, shaped for light, shade and privacy.

2,912 sq.ft of covered area on the 165 sq.yd plot, held under the 10 m height limit.

Light through the middleThe stair sits at the centre under a skylight, lighting every floor and letting warm air out at the top.
Shade the westWest-facing fronts get deep balconies and timber fins. The plan stays the same; the face changes.
